A very exciting start to the year with Christchurch harbour hall wedding fair… Spring was most certainly in my mind when I created these cute little designs with watering cans and rustic bouquets. This hanging heart literally has so many uses, my favourite place is to have one hanging on the front door of your chosen venue to greet your guests on arrival. I also love the cute little candles wrapped in lace and ribbon. Its the finishing touches that make your wedding bespoke to you.
Christmas wreath at the ‘Larder House’ Southbourne…
The Fabulous Larder House in Southbourne… Up stairs the luxurious Library, a must see cocktail bar, has a very ‘hunting lodge’ theme to it. I was asked to create a very large wreath to adorn their wall all year round. And so I set to work… Rustic tree branches wound around a barrel ring, you get the scale now, and packed with moss. Pheasant and peacock feathers along with rustic pine cones and dill heads were clustered around the wreath keeping it subtle and sympathetic to its surroundings. To finish some good old apple and orange slices giving a nod to the festive time of year.
New Forest foraged autumn wreaths
New Forest autumn wreaths… I just adore this time of year, how the leaves on the trees change colour in their last desperate attempt to store food for the winter. Dormant heather springs to life in the New Forest and the last of the summer sunsets in the sky gives me stacks of inspiration for this years wreath designs. My favourite is the heather and maple leaves…
